Bowling Fundraiser

We had a great fundraising event in Bangkok this weekend! The Paul Mitchell-sponsored event was held at a bowling alley and all the teams made a donation. We're in our last fundraising drive before the scholarships are given out in November. Thanks to everyone who helped with the event or made a donation. A trip to Bangkok

The best part of last week's events was that three of our students came from Phayao to Bangkok for the first time ever! They were thrilled with CentralWorld's many stores and sights, but were mainly excited to ride escalators up and down and up and down.We got to show them their first McDonald's, took them on their first BTS ride and took them to an amusement park. It was a really great adventure and we're grateful to them for helping us out at the Cut-a-thon!

We had such a great turnout there was a long line. Our stylists worked so hard and worked without breaks! We did an interview with Thai ASTV, made lots of new friends and everyone looked great with their new cuts. Thanks everyone!

Cut-A-Thon

ELF will hold a Cut-A-Thon charity event to support our programs on Saturday, July 25 on the 6th floor of Central Bangna Plaza in Bangkok from 12:00-20:00. There will be music, prizes, celebrities and professional Paul Mitchell stylists available to cut your hair in exchange for a donation. Come by and get your hair cut (or your kid's hair cut or your husband's hair cut) for a great cause. Hope to see you there!

Eyeglasses Ceremony

ELF and the Thai Rotarians with Air Vice Marshal Kamthon Sindhvananda -- Privy Councillor to the King

ELF is pleased to announce a new project - Eyeglasses for Phayao. The Thai Rotary presented the donated eyeglasses on behalf of the Japanese Rotary Club to our organization in a ceremony last week.

The ceremony took place on June 16 at the Privy Council 's Office in Bangkok at 2 pm. The Princess' Sai Jai Tai Foundation, EGAT (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand) and Wan Kaew were also present to help act as distributors and medical professionals for the project. We are so excited to be a part of this partnership to bring eyeglasses and treatment to people in Phayao.
