HIV Students Home Visiting

We found more orphans and abandon children in Phayao Province due to the fact that their parents had died (some died of HIV) or had to leave their hometown to work in the cities (include sex workers) or had new family. These children spent their lives with doddered and poor grandparents or relatives. They were insufficient for living and going to school such as lacking of uniforms, shoes, transport expense etc.  Most of all they were insufficient for love and care. Some of them lived at the risk of abusing and assaulting. These children and HIV Children need encouraging support so our foundation….
  • ·         Provide them scholarships
  • ·         Raise money to provide basic necessity and care to HIV, orphans and  abandoned
  • ·         Make home visits for HIV, orphans and abandoned children in order to check their situations and encourage them.

In our home visiting program we talked to HIV children and their guardians such as grandparents, relatives, adoptive parents and teachers so we got the children’s background and their living situation such as…

Wanasanan is 17 years old, infected HIV, was our scholarship student for 3 years. She lived with grandmother since her parents died of AIDS when she was little kid. She tried to get extra work in order to get money for studying by herself.

Junjira is 10 years old, infected HIV child. When she was very young her mother had been murdered by her father because he just knew that Junjira’s mother was infected with HIV.  And then Junjira’s father was taken in jail and left Junjira living with grandparent. When her father came out of jail he remarried and left hometown. Junjira loves to play sports that she is school runner even though she has HIV.
